D-Mannose
D-mannose is a monosaccharide, the formula C6H12O6, white crystal or crystalline powder, it tastes sweet and bitter, highly soluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol. D-mannose and calcium chloride easily form crystalline compounds and shows complex optical rotation. D-mannose can be fermented by yeast.
Application
